The recovery bottle is used to collect the expanding coolant from
the coolant circuit. Due to the expansion of the coolant,
a high coolant temperature leads to an increase in pressure in the
cooling system. The increase in pressure is relieved by means of
a valve integrated in the cap on the recovery bottle.
If the pressure increases, the system pressure is relieved by
means of the valve and returned to a pre-set value. When the
coolant temperature is normalised, a vacuum is created in the
cooling system. As a result, the vacuum compensation valve is
opened in the cap of the bottle. Ambient air flows into the bottle
until the pre-set system pressure is reached again.
