Mechanical failure of the turbocharger - Why an exchange of the Intercooler makes sens!

What has to be taken into account in the case of chips in the intercooler?

• Cleaning is very time-consuming and costly, thus usually uneconomical – this is particularly the case with passenger cars.
• Even if the intercooler is cleaned, it is impossible to be 100% certain that all chips have been removed from the intercooler.
• Intercoolers with turbulence inserts cannot be flushed or cleaned on account of their design.
• The intercooler should be replaced to prevent further damage in the event of chips in the intercooler!
