Visco®-Fans
Engine cooling systems must be quiet, light, efficient, space-saving and reliable - the less they are noticed, the better.
For heat dissipation in truck and powerful car engines, fans and fan drives which provide cooling air particularly efficiently are required in addition to powerful radiators. Visco® fans are made up of a fan wheel and a Visco® clutch. They are used in longitudinally mounted engines, are installed in front of the radiator (in the direction of travel) and are driven via a V-belt or directly by the engine.
Depending on the environmental temperature, the control function is carried out either by a bi-metal or electronic component. Regulation of the cooling air flows to match requirements, at the same time minimizing noise development and power consumption has the effect of reducing fuel consumption and environmental pollution.
