(PTC)-Heaters
Engine cooling systems must be quiet, light, efficient, space-saving and reliable - the less they are noticed, the better.
On account of the high efficiency of modern, direct injection engines (e.g. TDI), dissipated heat is no longer sufficient for heating up the inside of the vehicle quickly on cold days. Efficient units have been developed especially for these cases. PTC booster heaters, which are installed in the direction of travel in front of the heat exchanger, make it possible to heat up the vehicle interior more quickly. They are made up of several temperature-dependent, electrically controlled resistors. Energy is taken from the vehicle wiring system without delay and dissipated into the inside of the vehicle directly as heat via the blower air flow.
