Expansion valves, orifice tubes
The market for air conditioning maintenance and repair is booming. Behr Hella Service has almost all spare parts for the complete refrigerant circuit.
The expansion valve or orifice tube represents the point of separation between the high pressure and low pressure sections in the refrigerant circuit and is installed before the evaporator. The liquid refrigerant is injected into the evaporator through the expansion valve or orifice tube. The refrigerant expands, evaporates and thus releases evaporation cooling. In order to achieve optimum cooling capacity in the evaporator, the refrigerant flow is controlled by the expansion valve or orifice tube. Humidity and impurities in the air conditioning system can extremely impair the functionality of expansion valves or orifice tubes and lead to functional problems.
